Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. I hope it's not too late to get back in this tourney.

Thanks for the info Koen, I too was starting to wonder "whats up" with the Masters tourney. Best wishes to and your family Steve. The tourney can certainly wait, it's just a game after all, nothing more.

IIRC I stated the rule to my opponent when I sent him my setup. Just to make sure he knew and that he knew that I knew the rule. I always have done this to make sure we're both on the same page. I also recommend doing so.

Apparently my vote was not noticed in the previous thread. Guess I'll just quote myself.

My wife thinks it's too big too! (rimshot)  Brede lach

Ok seriously, do not change to a 2 scenario format for this round. If anything, just extend the round a month. That's my vote anyway.

I admit I was a bit surprised of the size at first. But it's not that bad. As we all know the beginning of rounds are pretty time consuming with 3 setups at once. But once we get going it's not that bad. Besides the other two aren't big at all, it kinda balances out that way.

Just joined  the WaW site, looks kool. I haven't been active on a ladder in years. I assume I wasn't able to import my blitz stats since I'm inactive there.

This one was my favorite of the first trio. I got a Major Vic as the Russians. I was a bit startled at the beginning as there were Hungarians coming out of the woodwork with loads of tanks. Just as my forces in town were starting to crumble, in come the T-34s to save the day. And boy did they ever, one after another the Hungarian tanks were brewed up. Probably not as much fun for my opponent, he made some bad decisions and paid dearly for them.

But I sure as hell had a blast!  Brede lach Thanks British Tommy.

Hi voland,
No, the glitch is if a tank tries to stop under the bridge it ends up on top. they it flew up there magically.
If you plot a movement to go under a bridge you will see  the movement line go from ground level to the top of the bridge then back to ground level.
If you move infantry under a bridge they go in "rested" and come out the other side "exhausted" like they had just climbed up and over (at least mine did).
Hope that helps.

Ha, then I was affected by this glitch and didn't even know it. I was wondering why in the hell were my infantry exhausted running from the russian reinforcements spot.  I must of missed it watching the turn replay.

I still won this one very easily though. There were a lot of dead Germans on the bridge and fords. I lost all my Vals and 2 of 3 of my T-34s. Lost 1 T-34 to the Sig and the other to 2-3 PzRs. I agree the T-34 is better in a one to one duel. But if you can get 2 to 1 duel, which is very possible in this scenario since the T-34s are outnumberd, then the T-34s are in trouble.

I love the performance of my mountain gun, he was the hero of the battle and the crew will all get medals. They bagged two PzRs trying to flank around to the train station.

I give this one credit for being different, but ultimately a bit of a disappointment. I agree, it is essentially a rat race to the church. I was the first one to the church and enjoyed the slaughter that ensued. I was even able to take a whole platoon of reinforcements to flank his pillbox and eventually take one of his small flags. At least that was the plan until my opponent disappeared.

IMHO there is too much reliance on good ole fashion luck, ie. random reinforcements and heavy arty guessing.

But I still kinda like it for being different.  Knipoog
