Title: What Nationality is this Soldier?

Just got this postcard last week and am wondering what nationality this guy is?  what era? [the stamp box on the back dates this to somewhere between c.1918 and 1936 based on known dates for the publisher.]
The design on his hat and collar tabs appears to be a flying horse in the center and a crown on top of the pin/button.

Check out Turks/Armenians or other nations around would be my firt guess (but not even "educated", just a gut feeling).

Judging by the british looking insignia, I guess he is from Iraq or more probably Jordan.

Thanks, guys!  We're all thinking along the same general lines.  It's a matter of going through a lot of images to find a match.  (some of the Pegasus badge images for the British Airborne unit has a similar crown at the top but there's no way this guy is in the famous British airborne unit.)
I should add that the publisher on the back is "K Ltd." which appears to mostly publish UK postcards; this is not definitive but leads to a British link for this soldiers service.

Yeah Facman, that might be possible, or Afghanistan/Pakistan?
But definately in that region.

Under a 30x glass, the shoulder insignia seems like "L G" and I find the shoulder 'epaulettes' interesting, too, rather net or lace like.

If I recall correctly, the epaulets are similar to that which the British used for their cavalry at one time.
