Admittedly, one of my hardest years ever, and that in reasonably well health (after all), and one of the years I really liker to vent about.

Of 2010 I hated:

- not being able to confront my rent every month, for lack of paid work

- having worked and not getting paid though the ppl I worked for got money and I dont

- having had to live 6 month without a roof and the impact it did (rain) to my house

- not having the money to re-furbish my house to a commonly accepted living standard, not having slept in my own bed for a year

- Having had to walk to work 16 km (and return) twice weekly for 5 month because I had no car nor money for the bus

- not having had my boat (refurbished) in the water

- having sold my boat to people that did not pay the material I used to repair it in their name

- having for the first time felt the impotence of not being able to do something for a real good friend

- not being able to take my revenges where I felt I should

- finding that 80% of our Island politicians went to jail, replaced by the ones whom they could not prove yet to have put their fingers into the mass

- having been fined 1.500 Euros for writing a website in Spanish in Spain (actually, for *only* iriting it in Spanish, and not in Catalan also)

- having found out that we Socialists have too much Messianism in us and hence tend to intrude dictatorially into peoples private lives organization


What I loved about 2010:

- The help I have recieved from so many sides in matters of stuff, money, opportunities and caring/soothing input.

- on the same line, having found out there are some real friends out there!

- Having re-discovered that -yes! - family exists even of us foreigners!

- Having realized there are people that are worse off than me and finding I could do something about it.

- Having found a sensible and commodate way to live from 100 Euros a month (after rent, as a smoker and a drinker)

- Great soccer winning the WC and the league!

- not being able to take my revenges where I felt I should

What I hated about 2010:

1.  I didn't get everything done that I wanted to do.

2.  The summer weather wasn't too great, and didn't last long enough.

3.  As always, the frigging mosquitoes.

4.  Not being able to control certain events (yes, I'm a control freak)  8)


What I liked about 2010:

1.  Feeling privileged to live where I do, (I still enjoy it).

2.  Time spent with those that mean the most to me.

3.  The jokes, the laughs and the good times on sunnyds, making new friends on there.

4.  Getting my life on track.

5.  The fact that I still like the way I look, and the who I am generally :champ:.  Yes, I like myself!   :P

Hating:

- That i did not have much free time for my friends
- The situation in my country
- That the girl i love is with somebody else
- My grandmother passed away

Loving:

- That i passed the first year of nursing school
- I still have good friends even if i dont see them very often
- That i have all the comforts of a western lifestyle.

hey Mike, sry to hear of the LOVE and your grandmother... both will never leave you (I'll never forget 2 of my girls: my first love and the girl I spent 4 years with (the one I wanted to have kids with, altough i never told her... I last saw her 12 years ago but still can't forget her)

good to hear you succesfully ended your 1st year!

Thanks Koen, yeah its has been a strange year for me, but you cant force somebody to love you. I will have to deal with it and move on.
