With its classical curves, the CB design has not changed over the years. In fact, the CB series is Honda's most extensive motorcycle range. Starting with the CB50 and going all the way to the CB1300. Super Four.
The current CB1100 motorcycle, with 18" front and rear wheels, chromed front and four exhaust pipes, remains a timeless piece of Japanese engineering that has been in the front line of Honda's motorcycle business.
The motorcycle is all about simplicity of use, elegance, not raw power. It's for a more mature biker audience.
Sporting an air-cooled, 4-stroke, inline-4 DOHC Open link in a new window engine, this model bears the CB name symbolic of Honda motorcycles. ‘Big Hearted,’ was the development concept for this motorcycle that was designed for three simple aims: easy riding, to be seen on and to be looked at. Rather than high power, it pursues riding quality and a muscular riding appearance. And because the big CB has the weight and compactness of a 750cc, it offers maneuverability and is rider-responsive.
The new engine uses internal oil passage ways, instead of exterior oil lines.
The CB1100 is also available with ABS.






I owned some 15 bikes in my life and still have 2, both are oldtimers from '81 and '82.
Due to the fact they are old they lack speed, acceleration, breaking and reliability. Furthermore they need alot of money invested over and over.
Therefore I've not been riding bikes for 3 years now and I miss it.

What do I need?
Reliable bike, good seat for 2, good mixture for touring by 2 or semi-sport riding for 1.
Possibilities for stowage room, this is not confirmed yet for this bike.
A style that's conform with myself, simpel and longlasting.
Not to heavy on the weight and easy-handling. (parking etc with my slimsized body)

The CB1100 features an all new engine design that is now fuel injected and tuned for low-end torque.
Forty years ago Honda announced the iconic CB750, a model that stayed in production until September, 2008. The CB1100 is, according to Honda, of similar weight and size of the CB750, but fitted with an engine having almost 50 percent more displacement.
The styling is sure to appeal to traditionalists, with plenty of chrome from end-to-end.
The CB1100 is planned to go on sale in Japan soon. No decision has been made regarding sales in North America.

well, in a couple of weeks I set my first steps into becoming an old fart....yes, I (and the misses) both like the CB1100 but it seems it won't be exported to Europe...

Well, then try a Munch "Mammoth", the best bike (in the early ´80s) I ever owned, I had a few, and it is the equivalent to a MB 300 SEL 6.3:

 "normal" (where this attribute applies) TTS (and you can take the lady, better to die together!)

They are not cheap, but worth their price compared to the modern stuff, few parts to keep an eye on, and, as an extra, the eyes of all ladies will go towards you once you open up that non-rice engine (basic layout, the first and third had more Hp, but it is the torque, actually, that does it (and at that time, the best brakes around):

29.000km, that's ok for a 1000cc four-cilinder
unique bike, hard to find
2 previous owners
original, so probably no 'fastracing'
topcase, so probably no 'fastracing'



edited: a testride was impossibe for this one, I first had to pay it, then test it and if I wasn't pleased they would repay me....yeah...right...thx but no thx guys  hihi

this is a very good bike, I had an older version of this one and it was amazing!
this one with approx. 15000km and price inbetween 2500-3000€ would be a very good deal!

Boy, if you don´t want to lose money, and if you do not *need* it for daily traffic: Why not go for an oldie, how about a good MotoGuzzi? A cow (BMW 750)? A Francis-Barnett? Or a Triumph, Hesketh, Indian (just to give examples, there are many more)...

The advantage: No electronics: You can repair everything yourself with relatively basic mechanic skills (provided you have time, get parts and/or know a piece maker). Price/Value relation: You will not lose mony on those, if you buy clever.

Disatvantages: Won´t run 250 (but, IIRC, in Beglium speed limit is 120/130?).

I HAVE 2 oldies





I'll keep these for later when I'm a bit older... for now I want something that accelerates better, brakes better, takes better curves, reliable so I can go for short-holidays, lighter weight and so much more...

K1? well...I'm so excited that I didn't even realised the Koen1  Brede lach

it has 35.000miles but it's a BMW flat4 so 150.000-200.000km is possible

and yes...it's odd looking but it's so special and unique and for this price?Huh? ABS-cardan-fairing etc...

the seller is on sickleave and is selling several bikes due to his injury....he even proposed to lower the price when I come, test and pay without any problem-making
