I stumbled upon author Johnsons website looking for the OOB for the UK landforces in september 1940.
Jonhson wrote this book from his ideas for a CPX to be held about an fictional invasion on the eastern shores of ther UK instead of in the ( predictable ) south.
His book is well written, accept for some annoying errors, and will keep you reading untill the end.
As he stated in his foreword, this book deals with an operation the Germans might have carried out against England wheather or not this might have been possible.
Basically the Germans carry out a feint attack in the south leading the Royal NAVY and RAF away from their real target in the east, the shores of Scarborough, Filey and Cayton.
From there the German forces would drive into the industrial heart of the UK forcing the UK to surrender.
The book gives a very detailed look at the generals level but also detailed stories about the fighting taking place.
I recommend it.
And, also very important a lot of the money is going to British Army charity.
